Privacy Policy
Effective 25 October 2026
Calendar-Melt is a private, self-hosted calendar viewer operated by Onward Solutions (“we”). It is used only by its owner, to view their own calendars in one place. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how that data is handled.
Data we access
When an account is connected, Calendar-Melt requests read-only access to
Google Calendar (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly). It can also
read Microsoft 365 calendars with equivalent read-only permissions. It reads:
- the list of calendars on the account, and
- calendar events: titles, times, locations, descriptions, organiser and attendees.
Calendar-Melt does not access email, contacts, files or any other account data. It cannot create, change or delete events.
How we use it
Calendar data is used only to display a combined calendar view to the account owner. It is not used for advertising, profiling or any purpose unrelated to that view, and it is not used to train AI or machine-learning models.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share calendar data with anyone. No third-party analytics, advertising or tracking services are used. Data is disclosed only if required by law.
Storage and security
- Events are stored in a database on infrastructure controlled by the owner.
- Access credentials (OAuth refresh tokens) are kept encrypted at rest and held only in memory while the app runs. They are never logged or sent to a browser.
- All connections to Google and Microsoft use encrypted HTTPS.
Retention and deletion
Events are kept while an account remains connected and are refreshed on each sync. Cancelled events are deleted after 90 days. When an account is disconnected, its stored events and sync data are deleted.
Revoking access
You can revoke Calendar-Melt's access to a Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. For Microsoft accounts, use myapps.microsoft.com or ask your organisation's administrator.
Google API Services
Calendar-Melt's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
